B20A's are a terrible motor... The the old prelude motor isn't it. or am I thinking B18A? Either way, welcome!

Gearing in the transmission causes 5th gear to reach 110km/h at 3500rpm.

Welcome
F8i the b20a motor is out of 88-91 prelude. The b18a mentioned above is out of Japanese vigor and/or accord. and if that's not what you meant then b18a1 is out of a USDM 2nd gen DA integra.

OP look at the stamp on the transmission. it most likely is a b16 transmission. that's what is causing the high revs. To tell you the truth, its better than the b18b1 [94-01 integra transmission] because shorter gears cause quicker acceleration. only downside is that you waste a bit more gas on the hwy. but i love cruising at 3600rpms at 120km/h haha.

hahahaha yeah who doesnt love cruising at 3600rpms at 120km/h!! I'll have to take another look at the stamps it in the shop getting a safety right now. yeah it does have quick acceleration! thats for sure but thinking about maybe swaping it for Vtec next winter seeing as the body is in pretty good shape for a 96. any ideas on a good one to put in? not looking for the fastes car out there going for more of a daily driver sleeper car!

3500 at 110 does not seem too bad.Its still a 4 cilynder. Mine does somewhere above 3000 i think. I ll double check tomorrow
