just be thankful your ok.
Whats more precious your car or your life? If you encountered the thieves and they got upset and pulled a gun, and your left paralyzed would you still be proud rolling around in a wheel chair saying you prevented your car from being stolen?

When you put good money into your car, put good money into an alarm system.
Pager that detects shattered windows + Boomerang.
Its a bit pricey, but it's definately worth that 5 grand (for example) that you spent for that type-r engine.
Dont cheap out on alarms. You'll feel good going to sleep knowing your baby is safe.
Or even better, put the damned thing in the garage at night!

I've had this experience before.
One night in front our homes, so punks came and stole both my bros and my subwoofer and amps.
Luckily they didnt break any of our windows (sucks for you). They didnt leave a scratch mark.
Anyways after that we bought an alarm for both our cars.
Lesson learned: #1 PRIORITY = BUY A 2 WAY PAGER ALARM FROM THE START. A one that has tilt sensor, or a window sensor.
Its funny. We always wait until **** happens, but buy an alarm from THE START!
Good thing they didnt take your car.
BTW: Why the heck do you have all that junk in your car? Papers, cards, etc.
Clean up man
