Wait what?! WHY?! WHY?!?!?!?!
for 500-700$ you could have gotten one that runs and has some rust, where is this is just....wow!
My opinion only, not trying to cause drama.
Oh and Robb...EF sucks, so move on with your life and get a real car.

Thanks for clearing up the model & engine. J didn't really know what it was so I was assuming based on the year and from what I saw when I peeked under the hood.
I am sad to see the shape it is in but i'll fix it

You are correct... but I guess I am a wee bit addicted to resurrecting older cars. :P lol.

I just buzzed through your album and recognize your car now. I often saw it parked at Newmarket Tire... if I am thinking of the right place. Only been there twice so I can't be for sure.

Hahaha it's the same with my other car, I get razzed about it all the time because I can't be bothered to do an OBDI conversion and drop in the KLZE Jspec motor. Ya just can't get away from it.. Just keep calm and carry on! lol.

some ones always going to open up their big mouth in the car scene.as long as your happy with your car and what you've done to it thats all that matters at the end of the day . my friend just dropped a klze in his mx6 the other day. fun to drive, can't wait till he boosts it next.

Nice. The KL series engines are super reliable & durable, great for boost... and the ZE sounds amazing.

So, picked up the civic today from my friends place and started to clean her up a bit.. Got a fair bit done in an afternoon
Removed all the sound deadening. The carpet smelled horrible, so it's just going to be thrown out and will replace it with a new one. The deadening came off just by picking at it... It was all removed within' 3 minutes.. not sure why but I am not complaining. Will be cleaning up the mess and prepping it for paint, spraying it flat black.. will be using etching primer to help maintain any future rust outbreaks.
Engine bay is a little rough. Will be replacing the spark plugs, wires, new battery and oil cap. The header is cracked at one of the welds, you can slightly see it, so I will either get that fixed or just buy a new one. I can't stand dirty engine bays.. so this won't last long looking like this.
So.. now I need..
- Drivers side corner marker
- Front fenders
- Side skirts
- Rear bumper
- Side mirrors
and then i'll be prepping the exterior for paint.
That's it for now

Yeah Robb, if your gonna go for a car just cause it's the lighter of the two and ignore that EG's are way better then EF's then you should really man up and get a EW like me!
MANual choke, MANual trans, MANual steering... see EW= real mans car!

It was a gorgeous day today!! Anxiously awaited the rain to stop so the civic could be worked on. Got a fair bit done for the few hours of sun light that was left
Noticed that there was quite a bit of disconnected and random wires all over the place, so figured out what was what and took out quite a bit of un-necessary wiring.
Took the valve cover off since the oil cap broke and pieces had fallen inside, so fished through the oil and seems all the plastic has been removed (hoping!). While the valve cover was off, since it's going to be painted, cleaned it up inside and out but I think I'll just get the top sand blasted.. too much work that needs to be done with the rest of the car to be bothered sanding it down by hand.
Cleaned up the engine bay a little bit.. Looks much better than it did but not done yet.

Some more little updates..
Getting ready to mask off and prep it for painting this week.. Going to be flat black.
New alternator & starter installed.
Got the right side skirts, the others were too long.. not by much though. Either way, passenger side fender was white and had some rust/scratches, now it has two light coats of etching primer.
Drivers side was black, also had some rust and scratches. It came with the molding but will fill the holes during next prep session :P
Will be picking up paint this week (hopefully!) and probably heading to Cookstown Auto when it's not raining whenever that may be. Also getting the windshield replaced too, hopefully this week so I don't have to tarp it anymore. Tarping is a PITA. Every time I go to work on it, it's half off.. Wah wah wahhhh.
The alternator on the MX6 is starting to rear it's ugly face, I am hoping it lasts until the civic is done. I don't really want to spend $200+ on a rebuilt alternator when it's going to be off the road in a few weeks. Oi!
Anyways..
Until next time..
