FYI, what you saw is called manufacturing LOL, use that in case someone try to say VW is Mexican car. Not in this case lol

Ford, Volvo and Mazda do share several platforms. But not all, like the RX8. However, Mazda6 share the same platform with Fusions. Its very understandable because of the cost of manufacturing will be minimal
Manufacturing a product and its process determines its reliability, not its name.

So,

you mean to say now that Jaguar and Land Rover are owned by TATA from India, no one is going to buy Range Rovers because they are a TATA.lol

So just out of curiosity, has anyone own, or know someone that owns the current Mazda 6? And what do they think about it, as far as reliability, cost for maintenance etc.

If they say they made it better for 2009, what were the issues from the previous generation?

Anyone?

I like the look of it. I actually saw one on the street on Friday and it looked really nice. However, like Brian said, too bad it's a Mazda, and in this case owned by Ford. Hopefully they have learned from their reliability mistakes and have improved this car, but I still doubt it will be as reliable as the Accord and Camry.

As for looks, I agree, it does look more upscale.

i saw the commercial for the m6 before a movie yesterday at the theatre....oh man it very nicely done. i like this car already.

given the overall performance of m3 cars in terms of economy, reliability etc., i doubt its going to be the same as every other ford. i like i like.......one can tell that they have put decent effort for the second generation model
