Inside the REALTIME TSX....~!!!
So two weeks ago I won a pair of VIP passes to the Steelback Grand Prix (CART racing) here in Toronto through some promotion that came to work. So I jumped on it - i mean paid day off work, VIP passes with breakfast/lunch/3 alcoholic beverages why the heck not??
So the day started out great, VIP treatment was amazing, seats were great, was able to get some awesome action shots (if you wanna see check the photog section in ramblings i'll post them up sometime this weekend), but then after the qualifying we were just walking around and I came upon the Realtime racing truck parked inside, with noone around (and no cars around unfortunately) I snapped a picture of the truck and went on my way. Just as I was leaving one of the crew guys comes out of the and we start talking for a bit. He tells me that if i come back in an hour or so maybe he can swing me an autograph or something, seeing as I have a TSX and all.
So I'm thinkin that's a pretty sweet deal, we go for a walk grab a beer at a beer garden, let them finish their practice and then after a bit we head back to their paddock. I meet the crew guy and we talk for a bit, and then he introduces me to some guy standing on the side, who happens to be the owner. To make what could be an even longer story a bit shorter, I got autographs from all the drivers, a hat, and a seat behind the wheel of one of their TSXs while it was up on stands.
I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking... I posted up the best ones cuz i took a hell of a lot being around those cars made me a bit more trigger happy than usual...
Special Thanks goes out to Terry, Little Pete, and Peter (owner) - and the other guys who's names I don't remember for the experience!!

There used to be this team that would rent air comrpessors from us every year (not a very good team because they have not been in the race for 2 years now) but for 5 years straight they would rent from us for the indy so I would get to deliver it and hook it up for them and they would show me the car and tires and let me sit in it and stuff. Pretty cool stuff.
I had free tickets to the indy this year but I gave away sat's tickets because I had a golf tournament and on today the weather was to crappy so I didnt go..
That car is sweettt

nice man,
my wife and were there too and we gotz some pics of them as well. they were all lined up in a row infront of the truck. I was invited to get into some of the other cars there but with my bad ankle, from soccer accident, i was unable to attempt. hope you guys had a good time too.
