ummm anywhere other than the dash? .. for a huge tach.. don't do it.. keep it on the right corner on the the other side of your cluster... its the most visible spot too

right there is the best..... that way you can keep your eyes on the road and you dont need to look away to see the tach

I put an si cluster in my DX...if I ever planned on racing it later on I'd just get a shift light.

I once seen a guy that had his on the hood of the car. I guess it was only a summer car.

my tach is mounted in a pod to the right of the driver the pod has space for 1 5" tach and 2 2 5/8" gauges works wonders for where the shift light ends up.... I'll see if I can take pics tomorrow

Personally I wouldn't mount a tach because of all the attention it gets from people and especially cops. If I were to mount a tach I'd probably mount it below the sightline of the dash or even in the dash.

To be honest I don't see much of a purpose running a tach on a street only vehicle except for appearance. It's more trouble than it's worth.

Ideally you should be able to install and uninstall the tach for track and street. Best of both worlds.

Are huge tachs really that necessary? My stock one is easy enough to find, thank you. Plus, it's not like I race or red line my car all day anyways...

But that's just my 2 cents (if anyone carez)

Peace
