What alarm do you recommend

I'll need an alarm soon...but don't necessary need to pay for name or pager ****...I just want a good alarm with good sensors and STARTER and PRoXimaty sensor (if thats what theyre called - the sensors that make the car beep if someone comes close by) looking to spend ~400 installed

....

if you want the proximity senser and started etc your probably gonna wanna buy a decent alarm..... I have heard that proximity sensers can go whack depending on the weather like moisture and stuff...... so read up on it.

I spent 120 on my alarm and its got one of the best sensors I've ever seen..... its fully adjustable etc. I just dont have the goodies like autostart and proximity...

i recommend compustar, viper..... thats all i can think of

See the thread on compustar group buy alarm. One of the best alarms out there, does not have prox sensors, but does have paging, remote start, and many other benifits. It's only 50 bucks more than what you were looking to spend.

hmmm...well maybe I dont need the proximaty sensors, but definately the door locks starter...and trunk...since im gonna fill in my keyholes..

anyways...that compustar groupbuy is only $50 more? i dont remember seeing the post...its $450 installed? Id pay that for a compustar alarm.

one thing i have decided though so far is that im not going cheap or anything...$450 should get me a more than decent alarm from what ive researched...for the longest time i considered gettin the Avital 2100 at Futureshop for $199 installed...but then I said...ill spend a little more a get some better...even that alarm is probably a good one...its made by the same company as viper...its just a plain basic alarm though
