get a multimeter, set it to test continuity. in your engine bay, you will have a connector for hooking up a test tachometer. it will be most likely right by the clutch fluid reservoir. touch one lead from the multimeter to that wire. use the other lead to touch the wires coming to your cluster. the one that beeps is your wire.

i know in my 99 coupe there are 3 blue wires coming to the cluster. 2 of them are tach signal wires, i dont know what the 3rd one does.

Make sure you calibrate your tach for a 4 cylinder if so equipped.

it should be a blue wire, with a plug (cap on it) right above the harness that sits in the corner by the firewall

ok sorry did it easier, I got the DX so the black and red and white i hooked up to 3 diffrent wires for the clock
black went to the black one which was ground
right down the line next was power (red for tach) and the next wire down the line was lights)

also at the cluster, i belive it is the 3- or 4 wire down on the connecter that is right behind the temp guage
when i say down i mean from the top, its a tach wire

to find it just plug it in one by one after hooking up the rest
works perfect for me hooked up my buddies SI gauge right after and same exact rpm

works great less work
all right there
