george when you say "gas" do you the mean the fuel/temperature gauge?

its difficult to replace just the needle.

If it's only the needle broken and the spindle portion of the gauge is fine then you can just change the needle but I have no idea where you will just get the needle and they are very difficult to remove properly without damage. But you can always change the entire gas/temp module.... you don't have to change the entire cluster.

since the si has a tach, the gas and temp needles are in one area where as on dx and other lower models they each have their own area, they could be bigger needles then those of the si that have to fit in a smaller area, im not really sure, jus something you may wanna look out for

Yeah... make sure you get the needles from a cluster that has a tach...... otherwise they won't fit.
