oh yea red needles

also the CEL, Seatbelt, Hatch Open lights are different (built into the actual gauge, not squares that light up)

Red needles, White background, Amber glow, 180km/h top speed, and some other things... low fuel light I think too

There are a bunch of different ones, make sure to get the one u want, there's 4 door models that have the door ajar and such. Here's the 2 door SiR II cluster from an eg6.

Nope they glow..

The low fuel guage requires a sending unit from a SIR or TEG to be wired from the tank..

also note the cluster shown has no door open indicators.

the door indicators require rewiring to work correctly so best to be without unless your hardcore.

Some clusters also have a TCS light for Traction control...

Red needled clusters are from the premium model of that type..

SIR cluster = EG6
VTI cluster = EG4
And there is also an EG5 cluster with a lower RPM speedo cause that car came with a ZC in the 20th Anniversary model..

Also avoid purchase of odometers at a changeover..

199999,99999,9999,9999999....

This usually inicates failed tampering.

The SIR cluster are a PITA to match mileage on the odo..

I've never taken apart a vti cluster so i can't say..

They are dimmer when plugged in a USDM car and the is no fix.

People have tried with different bulbs and such..

But to no avail...

The problem lies in the USDM dimmer and the fact the jdm equivalent has none..

It is plug and play and swaps straight in any 92 / 95 civic..

Install time is under 30 minutes..

Yank the ground off the battery before you swap..

Thats all I know....

I swapped in my VTi cluster.

I now have a dimmable VTi cluster.

Gotta love the black background on red needles.

if you dont have those high rpm engine, can you still use a jdm guage?

and in the usdm eg guage, can you adjust the light? coz the backlight is so dim.

whats the best solution? get a new jdm cluster or just change the backlight of my old eg guage cluster? I just want a bright guage cluster . Im used to the new guage, it has a bright backlight*the 2003 civic guage*.
