running spepakers off deck or amp?
hi.. i originally had my jbl front speakers running off my deck and it sounded alright but the bass overpowered my treble tho...i probably cudda adjusted my equalizer to even that out but my neighbour randomly brought over a lil amp for my fronts and a big *** box with a 12 inch sub...i just took out the sub and my cousin says it'll probably be better to run my fronts off the deck...the lil amp is a 40watt amp and my deck is a 50 x 4 watt deck.... does that mean i shud run it off my deck?
opinions?

Find out the RMS wattage of the speakers, sub & amp will help. One thing you don't want to do is under power your speakers or sub(s). Being too cheap will just lead to problems.
However, you could run the speakers on the deck and run the amp to the sub. I did this for awhile while waiting to buy a decent amp for my components in the front.
You'll notice the difference right away when you pair up your speakers with the right amp.
Best of luck.
