I was installing my new amplifiers last week in my '99 Civic and when I went to run the speaker wire from the deck to the front doors, I noticed that it was going to be impossible to fish the wire through the existing body-to-door harness.

How did you guys run upgraded speaker wire into your doors?

fished it through... drill a small hole in the clip that goes into the door.

Did you amp the door speakers ? if you didn t keep it oem.

Yeah I'm running a small Rockford Fosgate amp to Infinity components in the doors.


I'm considering pulling the doors right off the car. I'm going to see how much work that is tomorrow when it's bright out.

its much easier to pull the fenders and run the wire that way. i did it that way when i ran the wire for my power folding mirrors

dont take the fender or door off... just pass it through its only two wires... I didnt remove anything when i did power folding mirror, power windows, power locks and power mirrors. In total I had like 25 wires If I managed, surely you can too.
