Unhappy Please help!!! recaro seat in a civic...

Hello, i just bought a recaro seat from someone but i can't install them... The model is SE i think.... it came with BMW brackets and sliders... so they don't fit my 94 civic coupe... so i bought a del sol bracket made for sparco... but turns out that the mounting is different so i can't fit it on.... now i'm stuck with a seat and two brackes... and can't put it on:cry: ...
i e-mailed Performance Improvements and they replied saying that Recaro does not make a bracket for my vehicle...and they are able to get me a custom one for $115 + $92 for sliders... +taxes... which is way too $$... is there any other options??? please help me out!! thanks

Make adaptors that will relocate the holes.

Understand?

So do you mean drilling extra holes on the bracket?

Not really.
Most of the time, you can make a small flat bracket that has two holes.

One hole mounts to the factory hole in the chair OR in the factory bracket. Then the othe hole will be off set to line up to the other hole.

I'll see if i can draw something.

And if you have a slider, you just mount the slider to the chair first, then use the bracket offset trick to mount the sliders to the factory bracket.

Make sense?

(note, sometime 2 or more holes will line up.......and sometimes they will ALL be off. It just depends on the chair, and the car)

you sucker... Del Sol rails don't fit in hatches... my buddy with a Sol tried Sparco civic brackets in his Sol with Sparco Torinos and it was a no-go. We made adapters similar to what PULOVR sketched out for you.

Thanks... i'll give that a shot... but the mounting is different though... the chair is side mounted and the oem seat is mounted on the bottom... so it'll still work right? (btw my car is not a hatchie!! )
