Why not just buy a compustar 2 way, its way more reliable, has more features, more range and is easy to get various modules for it.

791 is alarm/starter
591 is starter only
5000 is alarm only

791 would be the way to go if ya want the convenience of remote start as well as security
it's their BEST unit!!
plus is has a 3 extra channels for optional functions

for prices, PM selective sound (Davis), he's an affiliate

compustar is good but viper is the best on the market they are the biggest alarm company in the world they own clifford, python, avital, sidewinder and they also make ungo. they spend millions in development and they have pattents an so many parts all the other companies just try to copy them. Yes they are a little more expensive then most but the quality is great and so is the warranty. you can hook up a tracking system right into the brain which is a cool feature.

So because they own alot of companies and patents then they are the best in the world? I beg to differ. First of all ungo is owned by clarion and I know this cause Ive worked side by side in the industry with a clarion rep. And ungo is the biggest pos out there. Now that Ive got that cleared up let me say that I have seen/installed many different brands of alarms/remote starters and though viper used to be the best on the market they are now second to compustar. Compustar has the longest range of nearly 2km's line of sight, they are the only company to offer in the remote starters a switch which allows you to to configure the unit for either a manual or automatic car, they are extremely reliable (I have only ever seen one fail whereas I have seen a handful of vipers fail), and the compustar carries the best warranty in the buisness. Now im not trying to put down viper here because they are still an excellent system and I would run one in my car, but if you are talking about best bang for the buck then the compustar would be it.

Well if you knew about clarion then you would know that directed electronics took over the line last year and started making ungo for Clarion yes it is still Clarion but made by D.E.I. which is viper and the viper does also have manual transmission module.

Vipers warranty is lifetime and compustar's warranty is limited lifetime warranty so how is their warranty better?

regarding range..

what is compustar going to do once the DOC steps in and they only have 100ft. range
the FCC has put/is putting a ban on Compustar's frequency usage due to interference with the ham radio band making it basically useless in the states..i hear the DOC intends to do the same
