Hey guys i have had my (2) HE2 rockford fosgates powered off of a punch p8002 amp for about 6 months now, and just recently ive been having a few problems with start up and what not, and obviously my lights have been dimming, the power line to my amp is 0/1 AWG same with the ground wires

i have read many many posts and have come to these conclusions

1) i probably need a high output alternator 120-150 Amps (how much will this cost? is this something i can do myself??? if so anyone got a diagram or somewhere i can get the alternator from???)

2) I need to upgrade my alternator wires as well as my grounds for my engine ( where can i find 0/1 guage wire to upgrade these wires with???anyone got a step by step guide on all the wires or is it pretty much straight forward on how to do it (havent really looked to be 100% honest))

3) i probably need a new batery, something like exide xtreme or optima yellow top (any suggestions)


is there anything else im missing? if so please let me know, im driving a 95 integra rs, i think stock alternator is like 60 or 80 amps ....... anyways if anyone could help me i would really appreciate all the help.

You could try adding a CAPACITOR in between to help when you have high-current draw.

i think i need alternator.... but where do i find a high output alternator for my stock 95 rs intergra!?!?!?!

me, i'd do a battcap and an isolator (PAC relay)
as i've said before i do over 3000 watts on a stock battery and an optima in the truck, along with a 3 farad cap...never had a problem

battcap is two in one, cap and battery
isolator'll save yer stock battery from draining and excessive wear..

hey loudsubs.. how much does an isolator usually cost?

im getting a batcap for sure when i get my system up and running.

is your 3000watts on a stock alternator?



so far all im doing is the big 3 and a batcap when i get my system.


btw: big 3 is upgrading 3 wires under the hood so u can get the juices flowing more easily.

these are wrong, but its somehting like these:

battery (+) to alternator (or starter)
battery (-) to chasses
engine to ground

ya, 3k on stock alternator (75 amp)
will find out what the PAC200 relay goes for and get back to ya, both with and without the battery minder (a module with 3 color LED that tells ya what it's doing and the condition of the charging system)
