Engine light problem

Engine light problem
Hi guys, I've been having problem resetting the engine on the dash cluster,bought the car already with the engine light on, previous owner said light turned on right after he had replaced the O2 sensor, I tried to unplug neg. side battery for about 30 sec. nothing happens,.... any suggestions would be appreciated.
