Hey guys, i got a question about the EK i was hoping someone could answer.

i am actually looking for an EK hatch. to my knowledge, there is no power windows on the ek hatch, however a friend of mine told me that late model ones does.

So i tried to find out if such an EK exists by searching auto trader. but i have yet to find an ek hatch with power group.

so could anyone tell me if it does or not? or where can i find information on this?

it does not exist.
no civic hatch in north america came with power windows or mirrors.

there is however a mod you can do to make it power that is to get coupe doors from the se, si, or sir and then put them on the hatch back and wire it up.

how about power windows then? because on the feature rides section of toronto civics there's a brown EK hatch with te37's with a moonroof. i'd love to have a moonroof but to my knowledge it doesn't exist again.

no ek's come with power windows unless it is a ek9 str8 from japan. and no ek's come with a sun roof unless you get someone to do it for you. for the power options just get si, sir door panels and all the wireing and u should be fine

moonroofs where a dealer option. at the time of purchase (when it was brand new) you had the option to put a moonroof/sunroof. they would use oem parts to have it installed.

just get an EK coupe, power windows, mirrors and sunroof all standard on the SI SIR SIG model

also, i thought Ek hatchs has power mirrors

nope, the only time you get power mirrors is if you got power windows (because honda only made three different wire harnesses for the front doors). one was speakers only, one was speakers and doorlocks, one as windows, mirrors, speakers and doorlocks.

wow... so hatchs give u nothing.. that sucks..

i guess only difference between CX and DX hatch is A/C?

anyone know how to remove the door panels, the interior ones... i dropped a cc while resting it on the window part on the outside and it fell in between the cracks

there should be some screws( one in the side panel) not hard to find and some others, take them off should come easy.

the eks dont come with sunroofs?
im sure i can fidn u a civic that came with a stock one, i was looking at a black 99 that will,
and umm switch the door opanels and u can get urself some power windos

Actually the A/C was an option even on the DXs.

I used to have an EK hatch and I bought it brand new in '97 so I know what options they came with that year. In 96-97, for example, in Canada there was no DX hatch, only DX coupe. The hatch came only in 2 versions, CX and CX-G.

The CX-G, which is what I had, added rear wiper, tachometer, passenger airbag, 4 speakers (instead of 2) and driver vanity mirror.
For the 96 model the CX-G added 14'' tires, instead of 13'' and power steering.

I am not sure what was added later on, but I know in 98 they already had the DX model for the hatch as well.

Also, for the 99-00 model year, they had a DX special model that came with painted door handles, mirrors, trunk plate area, mid wing, and 14'' aluminum wheels.
