DC2 Integra Cluster into EK?????
Hey,
I got a DC2 Integra Cluster and was thinking about putting it into my 1998 civic coupe (cluster curretly has no tach). From what I have read you need to repin the plugs for the wiring to work and there are some fit problems where the dcs teg cluster is smaller leaving gaps, and it doesn't not bolt into the civic cluster holes
Could anyone comfirm this info or have any additional or differ. My main question is the cluster a simple plug and play. I can deal with gaps, but i don't know if I want to start re wiring.
Thank you in advance.
Gavin
OHH, and as a side note if this option doesn't work, I was thinking possible acura EL cluster, I belive those are plug and play, correct?

yes as far as i know, EL clusters are plug and play. i found this link for how-to, you will have to rewire the plugs.

good luck.

yes as long as its form the same gen... you ll need a 1.6 El cluster these are straight swap. you can also use a CRV cluster. In my opinion your best bet is to get a Si/Sir cluster. They also have tach, easier to find (si) and look better the El and CRV

Thanks again,
this may sound dumb, but does they cluster change in anyway effect the speedo or odomotor, will the rpm reading be accurate. I have a dx w/ no tach that is why i am looking for a cluster.

the odometer you have now is not gonna be the same as the replacement cluster.
i believe the speed comes from the car's speed sensor which you would not change ... and the same goes for the tach.
i've heard that some JDM clusters will show a different speed compared to USDM ones ... i remember seeing this in a post here, dont remember where tho ...
