battery light staying on

battery light staying on

i changed the battery (new) and changed the alternator (used)any other suggestions. 91 ef cx

The used alternator could be not charging it, or you mite have a wiring problem on the charging side.

The resistors are probably shot in the used alternator.

check ur fuse #12 or 15 not 2 sure

I think the fuse your talking about is also wired to the fuel pump( Alternator syliond valve) So I dont think his car would start. First thing I would do is check all the connections. Battery both the positive and the ground make sure they are tight and there is no corosion. Then all the connections to the alternator. You can always take the Alternator out and run it to Canadian tire and make sure its chraging properly. I hope some of this helps you get your car running propper. I am going to put my money on the Alternator is shot.
