why not?

if your major concern is price then why not go to best buy or future shop?

any other audio shop will be more expensive for sure, and seeing that your criteria are 'good sounding' 6x9's u might as well spend ur money there instead of going to a car audio shop spending big $$ for quality your not really concerned about

it's all about the product not where you buy it from. go read some reviews or even search the forums here.

For a FS or BB brand i'd honestly say that pioneer would have some decent 6x9's same with infinity, JBL....

i donno go into the store and listen to them there, that's the beauty of their boom room or whatever they call it.

If you can go down to Lockdown and ask jeff to demo the eclipse point source 6 x 9's. By far the best 6 x 9's ive ever listened to.

go components Jess..
tho IMO (yup, i'm gonna say it again for the one or two people who haven't heard me say it before) yer obviously talking rear fill, right??
leave 'em out..
IMO, everything sounds so much better without all that crap coming from behind you..
you get a much nicer "front-stage" when everything is coming from the front/sides

i've got a set of Audiobahns going in tomorrow nite, if you wanna hear them i'll PM u my number and ya can stop by the shop (Selective Sound)..or hit up the show this weekend and hear them there
or if you wanna spend some good money i'll have my JL's going up for sale soon (probably mid-late April)

Yeah I would recommend checking out Selective Sound or Lockdown and listen to as many different sets of speakers as you can and then purchase based on what u like. I could recommend speakers all day long but in the end its your ears that need to be happy.

Memphis PR series are very good quality for the money, I mean obviously their other lines are better, but PR is relatively cheap.

If your not happy with the infinity's then your not going to be hapier with the db drives, it sounds like maybe your system is not tuned correctly or maybe you just need a better source unit. Remember the speakers and amps are only as good as the source feeding them. "Garbage in, garbage out"
