Im gonna try a wide range of components in my civ' this summer until I find a set that I like and that can take the power that these amps dish, hopefully these infinitys will be upto the task if not then the next set will be focals.

why not spend the money on seperate drivers and design the crossover, best of both worlds, then you truly get what you want

All the crossover points and processing will be done through my alpine cda-9813. And likely im only going to be switching the midbass drivers around this summer and keeping the infinity tweets because they sound great!

it's not that i am not happy with them...i'm just getting partial sponsorship...which is why i don't really care about the infinity's cuz i got them for dirt cheap from vendor staff purchase..don't get me wrong they are good speakers...as for the headunit..i am running the pioneer avh-6600DVD...which i feel is quite adequate...

that's not true the db platinum series will blow the infinity speakers out of the water when you worked at cockpit you probably heard their entry level components which I agree are tinny sounding but if he is getting sponsorship from Patrick I know he will be getting platinum series product.don't knock it if you haven't tried it.

why are you trying to start an argument over something as opionated as speakers. Like I said, no 2 people hear the same way, so trying to tell some MB quartz sound amazing, so someone who likes real soft highs is probably going to disagree.

If you refering to me,I am not trying to start an arguement I just don't like when people don't know a certain product and say that it is inferior to another brand.

they're not very durable tho, they seem to rot from the sun, rot from old age, fall apart from moisture or just tear from being pushed hard.
many downsides

ok, i was gonna start my own thread but since my question is pretty much the same, ill just add to this thread

i'm looking for 6x9's as well, i'm not on so much of a budget tho, i'm looking to hook up an amp to the 6x9's, Im looking for alot of bass without having subs, i've already done the sub thing, infact i went too far with the sub thing and their up for sale, anyways i want good quality bass with 6x9's and an amp, I dont wanna pay outta my bottom but i'm not going to wal-mart for jensen.

I was thinking audiobahn would be good, I seen some decent ones on ebay, any suggestions?

you will only get so much bass from a 6X9 its limited to the cone area, and power handling, so don't waste to much money on them, You can get some kicker 6X9 that are just mid bass, no tweeters in them.
