Audio Blunder

All of a sudden about 3 days ago my speakers in my car dont play just my subs. At first it was only happening at night and I couldn't figure out why for the hell of me. I so pull the lower din and just wiggle the wires and it works np and this has happened several times. I was showing my friend today what happened and I realized it ONLY happens as soon as I turn on my lights on. Other than that it works fine thus why it doesn't work at night??

your post is lacking too much critical information... try editing it and you might get more responses...

To start off I will help you in the right direction

amp for speakers?
oem wiring?
is the deck wired to an OEM interface adapter? or hard wire?
connections soldered? taped? twisted? etc etc

more info the better

Could be a bad ground, short on the speakers, was it installed by a professional or was it a diy?

No clue. I purchased the car with the deck but it appears diy. I am going to take it apart today to do some examination and reconnect the wires and ground.

Ground is good. Now with a short on the speaker that would cause it to just not play in general correct? This is just doing it randomly and more so then I turn the lights on.

Speakers go out at all when you hit a bump or anything that would make the car shake even a little?

Do all the speakers go out?

Try playing with your balance for both the front and back stage and left to right. IF it is a short with a speaker, try and find which one(s) are doing it before ripping apart anything.

Check out the affiliates if you aren't comfortable doing it yourself.

I'm going to take apart all the wires and replace then multimeter everything. More than likely its a short or something.
