alarm install questions
I'm trying to install this alarm that I just bought.. but I'm having a LOT of trouble finding some of these wires..
don't know where to look
I'm looking at the alarm wiring diagram and it needs the following:
ACC - no clue what this is
IG1 - ignition 1?
IG2 - ignition 2?
STR - starter?
Turn signals
Door pin switch + and -.. think dome light will work for this too
ACC /ON - no clue waht this is
12v brake wire
if anybody knows where I can find these wires I'd greatly appreciate it or if you know a site that show these wires.
By the way, its for a 95 civic dx coupe
Thanks!

dome lite will work, ull find it going up your A pillar
12v brake wire
its under your dash, u have to find it by finding which wire has power when u press the brake down.

You can try this site. It may (or may not) help you.
A 95 Civic isn't listed, but it's probably pretty close to the Integra on the list near the bottom of the page. Double check w/ test light though.
Lots of good info on alarms/remote start/car audio there too.

How does a test light work? o.O I think I have one of those.
Its like a pen with a light inside with a pointy end, and an aligator clip off a wire on the other end.
Is it possible to test for power in a wire without actually cutting the wire using this test light?
Thanks
my test like looks identicle to this actually:

then you should have a tach wire from the alarm/starter, the tach is under the hood... can't remember exactly where it is.. should be by the driver side strut mount.... correct me if i'm wrong
