Advice on powering Alpine Type-R Subs

Hello, I just purchased a pair of Alpine Type-R 1221D's 2ohm subwoofers. I am having a friend build a calcualted box for the subs.

I realized that my Rockford Fosgate P3002 lacks the power to power these suckers.

Im willing to spend up to $400 for an amp, any recommendations?

these are the 1000w dual 2ohm right??

so yer looking at either 1 or 2 1000w x1 or x2 @4ohm or 1ohm (one channel/two amps or two channel amp) or 1 2000w x1 @ 2

two jbl 1200.1's with the gains down to half would be perfect for the job

6004t intake series

get ready to spend on the following list:
2300hct high current
2150hct high current
1300 hct high current

the real good stuff:
1502dp digital (i have one of these so far..)

get yourself a used 600.1 and you will be more than happy, IMO that series of jbl's are the best bang for buck.
