98 civic cluster swap
Hey;
I'm looking into buying a new gauge cluster for my 98 civic dx - Is it hard to instal and wire the tach? Also I wanted to change the milage reading on the new cluster to read the same as my current cluster.... is that hard to do?
Thanks
- John

if your buying a new cluster from another ek (96-00) its all plug and play, i swaped my 98 si for an 2000 sir cluster, it took me five minutes, unplug the old one, throw in the new one. now i know guys on here have swapped in gsr or type r clusters, but i have no clue how to do that. also i dont think you can change the km's on the new cluster to read the same as your old. i could be wrong but i would of done it to if i knew it was possible.

yeah it no prob. the swap is so straight forward I wont even explain it. as for the the kms all you have to do is take the clear plastic cover off, the 2 tiny screws in the front and the 3-4 screw in the back to take the km unit out. then do the same on the other and switch them.
