2 questions

i have 2 question :
1)im installin a dvd deck with the built in screen i wanna know if there is anything i need to do like a cap or something so it wont drain the battery or alternator

2)my dash is in gray i wanna know what kinda paint i would use to paint it in black

1) Upgrade your grounds and get a bigger deep cycle battery if your gonna be playing the DVD with the car off.

2) I would suggest dyeing your dash since its vinyl, check out www.G2USA.com.

Get a battery isolator, and hook up a second battery. Run the audio system to this battery. That way, if you accidently drain that battery, you will still be able to start the car with the original one. Make sure both batteries are identical, or almost identical, and the altenator is in good working order. Most factory altenators can compesate for the extra battery, as long as the factory stuff is off....ie.....air.....power windows.....factory fogs and headlights......ect. In the long run, you might want to upgrade the altenator to a bigger capacity one.


By the way, what is the rest of the components in your system? Ie....amps.....ect.

Most the time, you will get around 1.5 - 2 hours of play time at a resonable sound level. Bump that sound level up, and the time will go down accordingly.
