I have a 01 civic and I want to put my lcd screen where the factory deck is and the dvd deck below it where the cd holder is. I'm thinking I will get the dash kit to put in the lcd screen. and I need some help for putting the dvd deck below.

I'd appreciate any suggestions and ideas. Thanks guys.

btw the screen (model CVA-1003) and dvd deck are both alpine.

Thanks for your help Matt. I started taking the dash off last night. I am finsihing it up this evenign after work. So far I have off:
- the centre console
- crusie control/sunroof panel
- glove box
- small side panels by the door, including screws
- cigarette lighter tray
- outer casing around the gauges

Where will I go from here? I gave up last night becaseu it got too dark. I think I have tp start pulling the dash up around the edges of the windshield or pull it up from the centre where the factory deck is. I took out all of the screws that I saw and the clips are so easy to pull out. Most of them are out that I know of until now. Any suggestions?

I found an easy DIY on removing the head unit on 7thgencivic.com. I removed more than I had to alraedy, but no worries. I'm still learning.
