WoW!
For the maybe 1hp you'll gain its not worth it.
Lets face it your car is a DD, or do you have a race track in your backyard??? High flow cat and be done with it.

Keep your cat, because you will get cough and it's a $350 fine, and you go to court for it. Plus not having a cat your exhaust sounds tingy and it really sound like ****, and beleave me, the cops can tell if you have no cat just from the sound. I know because i had to drive one of are customers home one day and he's a cop, and he was like you have no cat on your car, i was like nope, but he could not really do anything to me for it, as i just put test pipes on his mach 1 mustang, lol, and that i'm friends with him.

Especially if you go down to the track or strip, they always have a roadside check. When i 1st had my car and it was bone stock, they still pulled me and two other cars to do the check.

well i have a good story..I am sure you all know the cop station just off derry(might be steeles) and the 410..I was driving a 1 ton (mini dump truck) with dump bed and the works...I was on a coffee run for me and the boys...so I see a cop right across the parking lot at the other exit..so I make sure I do a complete stop...and I make a right turn and go down the road, he pulls out behind me and lights me up..and makes me go to a "inspection station" which was at the police station parking lot..just down the road..sooo for some werid reason my horn didnt wanna work that day..and suppostly my front break lines were cracked...but were still working perfectly, so they scratched void on my commercial sticker and made the truck get towed....they will also pull modified cars in there...I saw a lowered Sunfire getting towed also not sure why

is there any reason u would take it off anyways i mean if ur going to the track is this going to help u at all ? and like everyone else said they will catch u . i was thinking if there was any benefit at all i would get a pipe and when i go to the track just exit it right b4 the rear tire and then swap it back in b4 i go home . but i wouldn't do it unless there were some kinda real benefits . not only hp i mean make throttle response or whatever .

i ran a dc race header (no cat) & my exhaust on the street. it wasn't terribly loud. No one never harassed me about it, and i never got checked. (this was back in chicago). I also, believe it or not...passed the emissions test over there with my race header on. its off the car now...
