Okay I've got a 96 civic 4 door.
One winter morning I was driving and my muffler fell off.....so this summer I wanted to do an exhaust system. I'm probably going to buy DC headers...unless I hear something else more interesting. I guess I just need the rest, what would you guys suggest for someone that doesn't want a blarring loud exhaust (meaning no police attention!!!) but wants something kind of nice but without going overboard on the price scale.
My friends where suggesting me to get a bolt on kit, it would make it easier...

If you buy a DC header, you will have to relocate your cat, because on the Y7 motor the manifold and cat are one unit. What's yout budget? If you go with a DC header and name brand exhaust your prolly looking at 700-1100 depending on the brand you get.

yah, i was wondering about that too with the stock header, i thought it was the cat yah i figured it was gonna cost that much, whats a good exhaust system though? I heard APEXI is loud and so skunk2, anything about magnaflow? My boy said don't go anything North American, but then he has a supra so....any suggestions

It's all personal preference, I have the Apex'I on my car and I love it. I got when I still had the DX motor and it sounds great, it's really not that loud when your just cruizing. Dc sports also makes a great sounding exhaust, but is kinda pricey. I've never heard a skunk 2 exhaust but I have heard they are pretty loud. I'm not a big fan of american exhaust. Do yourself a favour and stay away from universal mufflers, IMO they look like *** and sound even worse. If your in the Brampton area I can take you for a rip in my car and see if you like the sound of the exhaust.
