sorry, check 7thgencivic.com for more info, a lot of ppl do pointlless mods to the d17, there isnt really much you can do to get some decent power out of it other than turbo, but with that budget a k20 (rsx type s) swap is your best bet.

someone is selling a fully legit full swap for 3500, and the labour and all other small parts necessary and even exhaust can all be covered with your 500 budget

good luck

Sorry, there's no way to get a K20A2 swap in there for $5500

Engine & Tranny - $3500
Mounts - $800
Harness - $550
ECU - $1000+
Custom Shafts to fit the 32mm Civic outer hubs
EP3 Radiator
Misc. items for power steering, clutch line, etc.

all of that plus labour which will run in the $1200-1500 range for this kind of swap.

It's a little easier than putting a K into an EG/DC because headers and exhausts bolt-up, but it's not very possible for $5500

shyt, the cost of mounts came down..
last year they were still running $1500

weak engine..
you could turbo it, but i'd be leery of anything over 8lbs without doing the internals, and there isn't a shyt load available off the shelf for guts so.....
