where to purchase a new engine

i've been looking at engines on ebay for the last little while but i can't bring myself to pay for them because i can't see the engine itself with my own eyes. does anyone know of a place here in Toronto were i can get an engine swap done for a reasonable price?

altech, I dont think so man, I wanted to buy a Gsr and he told me a price out the door, I am like ok fine, he calls me back a few hours later and tells me if I am paying cash, I said yes, and I asked him I am getting papers for this engine right, he told me no, if you want papaers will have to charge you more, so I told him, ok you know what, keep your engine, buy.

well of course he'd have to charge you more. with papers he'd have to pay tax on the total cost of the sale, and that cost carries over to the customer. i'm not sure what you're complaining about. let's say he quoted you $5000 for the swap, 15% of that is $750. you can't expect a shop to absorb this entire cost. that's like asking them to do the labour for free. all businesses work this way. you're lucky Joe even offered you a cash deal.
