I find bad mounts show themselves in the form of odd clutch chatter and rough 1-2 shifts.

my motor mounts are fine .. I get wheel hop with my stock engine .. with R compounds on ... in the dry.... traction bars would basically eliminate this ... I too say to get them....

i saw a used traction bar on EBAY for 120us final price (4 point bar), it was scraped to **** cuz they sit so low, but nothing alittle paint couldnt fix...

wait till u install the motor mount insert tho, this may bring it to a tolerated point. I know my mount is ripped, i can feel my whole shifter move back when i step on it im still waiting for my insert, its comeing with my master kit, hopefully be here this week, fingers crossed (astroboy )..

and i get wheel hop too, but i also have **** bushings and a ripped mount...

traction bar is a gurenteed solution tho!!

i dont care how its gonna ride, i gave up that notion along time ago, after my 17 's went on... Just think on the bright side, your car will please the ladies cuz the seat will be vibrateing like mad haha, if its really that bad, you can always take it out and sell it for a OEM rubber mount

well motor mounts might fix or bring the problem down.....adn you had r compounds on so you will hop more with those sticky tires on compared to punks tires......his mounts are old and worn so....traction bars are a waste of money on a sohc civic...unless you have a crazy built b18 or ls/vtec and you drag race and want that sweet street launch then ya but in his case motor mounts will probobly fix her up good.....it's proven....traction bars are nto worth it in this situation...and you always start with the small things not jsut jump to traction bars with worn *** engine mounts.....pull out the window weld

all the major welding of bars is going into the back of the car first

and its may only be a sohc stocker now... but the incarnation of that motor going in in a few months will have more to offer

prolly wish you went with a 4g, the 5g lacks the front crossmember and radius rods, add some urathane bushings in there or a nice new JIM FAB, and wheel hop is almost eliminated ...

Traction bars will help.

I've heard that Full-Race.com bars are better then Jim Fab. However they're not listed on there website yet.
