I've had my old z6 motor and tranny in my garage for a few months now, and my dad is nagging me quite a bit to do something with it. Because of the low re sale value of the motor and that I don't want to sell it, I need some creative ideas on what to do with it. Also, because its the motor that came with my car, I want to keep it, but not for mechanical use.

I have already taken possible parts that I need from it, alternator/distributor/etc. What can I do with the rest of it?

Coffe table, book end, some sort of mail slot? Give me some ideas.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has an old motor just taking up space.

grow flowers in the cylinders.. if you are creative enough, you can keep the oil pan on, design a recirculation system, fill it up with nutrient-rich water, and grow stuff in the cylinders hydroponically
