regular RV sealer.. you only apply a dab of it to the sharp transitions around the cam shaft ends. clean the aluminum of oil and old sealer residue beforehand

doesn't really matter what kinda sealer you use as long as its sensor safe. Try to grab some high-temp rtv sealer.

you dont need any sealer. just the gasket is meant to go there.
if it needed sealer it woulda came with a sealer and gasket from factory.

Thanx guys. I took the cover off today but went to put the new one on and noticed one of the lil rubber boots to seal off the spark plug is ripped, so I gotta wait till tomorrow.

if you look at an original factory gasket, the assembly line uses hondabond on the gasket.

always use a lil sealer in the corners... I recommend Permatex Ultra Gray.

Yea, use sealer in the corners and around a bit,...

One time I didn't, drove around and oil was everywhere, kinda scary....So much oil that it ended up on the outside of my fender.....

Had to re-do it, it sucked..

PS: bruno, where have ya been ?

I put it on this morring. I donno what I used, but it was orange (my dad told me to use it) and it says you have to wait 4 hours. so I'll see if it leaks this afternoon. but the cover looks really good in it.

and long time no see Bruno

yes you do, the official repair manual says you do, so you need it, unless you claim to be more knowlegable than honda engineers
