Gasket for the valve cover(1)........rubber gasket for the seals around the spark plugs holes(4)......and the gasket for each of the bolts that go though the cover(4) .......(talking about the D15 and D16 covers.......don't know about the DOHC ones)

Oh yeah.....also get some sealent for the tight corners so that the gasket for the cover seats nicely. Pic to follow.......

Get Honda parts. Not that expensive.

I just purchased mine a few months ago and it was under $40 for the kit which includes everything you need except silicone.

is there a big price difference with CT and OEM at a Honda dealership and does OEM really matter with Gaskets?

i wouldent think so....but some people will only go with OEM from honda

ill use the CT one

call up honda and find out how much their part is (if you can still get it)...if the price is ok then get the honda one...if its too expensive get the CT one...im sure they arent that different

If you're a paid member go to Roadsport Honda for a discount

I repainted my valve cover a yr or 1.5yrs ago. Did a rush job but still turned about pretty good. Had pics but got trashed when swapping HD  If you want a smooth finish you'll need fine grit sand paper, the wet/dry ones are good. A degreaser to get all the crap off. This is the most important part cuz if there's any hint of grease paint won't stick. A good high heat enamel paint. Sherwin Williams can help you with that. I tried CT paint but the cap colour never matches what it actually looks like. Bought red, came out orangey

Silicone for the gasket. If I can remember, you should only put it on in the corners where the crank shaft is. Hard to explain but you'll see on the old one where it is.

That is what i was trying to find a pic of, (where to use the silicone).

As for the availability of the parts at Honda, yes, they have them.

And remember to also change the rubber gromets where the nut's are on the valve cover, as well as the gasket for the spark plugs.

The Honda kit has all of these plus other ones.
