Upgrading Brakes

Upgrading Brakes
Well last night I realized that small front brakes and rear drums aren't going to cut it. It rained last night...hard and I had to stop at one point...stop...fast!!!!
So I want to upgrade them. I was thinking Integra brakes and a rear disc conversion. So what's needed and cost?

Why upgrade and go conversion at all man?
Get Python 4 piston calipers and throw those on your front, then find some Civic disc brakes in the back and you will be all set for 1/2 to 3/4 of the cost of conversion and GSR brakes.
Hurry, cause in August the Python kit doubles in price.
Regards,
OK

With the right combination of rotors and pads, you can easily increase your braking power by 200%. There is a place on Midland in Scarborough near Silverstar that's a distributor for Brembo stuff, forget the place's name, but the guys there know brakes. Go talk to them.

Yes, thanx to previous post, it is Elite Auto Services. Give those guys a call. Their prices are decent and they do a professional job installing.
All you need are the pads and the rotors. I wouldn't worry about your rear brakes, just your front ones will be more than plenty for a normal street setup.
Oh more thing, if you like to have a nice show appeal, I would get the cadium plated rotors instead. They don't rust and stays nice and polished.

If you want better braking power, just pick up a good set of rotors and pads, or even change your brake lines to Goodridge. In my opinion it's a waste of money to do a big brake upgrade, unless you got some serious performance happening under your hood, or if you're going strictly for show.
Like a few people have said in this thread, check out Elite Auto in Scarborough. Speak to a guy named Raymond. Their number is 416-291-3953. A few years back, I picked up some Brembo rotors for about $60-$70 a side. Can't remember the exact price, but it was somewhere around there.
