Ugh, another Failed E-Test Thread

My 95 Si failed. Only thing done to it is a header. I had the fuel filter, and air filer replaced.
I failed on the NO - 2500 RPM test.
Allowed ppm - 550, Mine - 2305

To top it all off, my sticker is expired and I just got pulled over  The officer was pretty good about it, and didn't ding me for my expired insurance card (doh!) Anybody have an idea what would cause this? All the other tests passed with flying colours.
Thanks

what 2500 rpm test????

your car does not have a non disengageable awd or traction control, it should not be getting a TSI (two speed idle)

theres the ASM (automated simultaion mode) and the curb idle.

well, he got a NOx reading, so it won't be a 2500 rpm test (no engine load, no Nox reading)

What's your HC and CO reading at your running test? It could be your timing (too adv.) carbon build up, Cat. converter, vaccum leak, bad/plugged fuel injector(s), etc.

Also, provide the idle test #.

i know that theres not im a freaking emissions inspector myself. why do you think i said that his car doesnt get tested in TSI mode.

not called a 2500 rpm test, its called a " two speed idle " (TSI)

I got a conditional pass anyway, after testing and $180, they said it was a bad cat and would cost an additional $500. So meh, it would explain the sulpher smell I occasionally get

relax buddy, just that I read it wrong, you don't have to take it so seriously. Are you a certified repair technician as well?

NOx is caused by high combustion temperature. Could be a bad thermostat, too much carbon, poor cooling system, faulty EGR sys. etc.
