I would suggest the Avid H4, if you want something that will have decent treadwear.

Marty, you need a 215/40/17 then. Just a note.... remember 5% for 10mm in width!! Also, this width will knock down some more mileage and will weigh more. Tires aren't weightless Just some things to keep in mind. I'm really glad you are getting rims finally. Joel, the guy with a silver Si Veloz undergoing turbo, that was his first mod.... 11lbs 17" rims, then Eibach springs.

Marty, I was the guy that took your upper and lower strut bars...remember me?
Well, I just bought 215/40 x 17" Michelin Pilots for my Si. It's 17mm shorter than stock, but if you go with the 215/45 x 17", it'll be 3mm too high. 215/45's are a closer fit, but since you had lowered your car big time, go with the 40 series. 215's don't look wide on that car at all. The 40 series will actually increase your acceleration, albeit lose alittle off the top end. 205's will look too narrow IMO and the overall tire height is incorrect. Stay with the 215's and you won't go wrong! I love the feel and ride of the 215/40's.
