timing belt
Timing belt was last done done at 106, 000 Km. Service manual recommends every 90,000 Km when driven under severe conditions. The car now has 183,000. How long do most people leave this repair. What's the comfort zone????
Also, I have a bit of valve noise when accelerating after a cold start. The manual recommends that the valve heights be adjusted at about 192,000. Is this worth it and would it fix my problem or are the lifters going???
Thanks for all feedback!

I just had my timing belt done. The belts were starting screeching before but now hte problems gone.
It's better to have your timing belt done to prevent something from happening.. Changing the belt is something you do to prevent a problem from happening, not a fix after the problem occurs..
If you don't change ur timing belt and it breaks, you're gonna premanently damage ur engine..... Honda's engines don't have valve clearance from the pistons .. so they'll hit if the valves are out of sync...

Yes, a valve lash adjustment will fix your cold noise valve problem.
Timing belt, I'd say replace it and the water pump too. Much cheaper than replacing bent valves after the timing belt breaks.

i talked to service guy at ready honda and they said that honda has increased their recommened km for timing belt replacement. It's now at 168,000km. I think it's on more of the newer honda's like 2k + . Dude said that the belts are alot stonger then before. A would still change mine around 90- 10000km, cause I drive my car hard.

Replace the timing belt at 105,000 miles (168,000km) according to the maintenance schedule (normal conditions/severe conditions).
If the vehicle is regularly driven in one or more of the following conditions, replace the timing belt at 60,000 miles (USA) 100,000 km (Canada)
-In very high temp (over 110°F, 43°C)
-In very low temp (under -20°F, -29°C)
