Tilton/Wilwood proportioning valve

OK, I went to 4 wheel disk brakes on an LX (no ABS/Disk-Drums). Now, the prop valve from the SiR won't fit b/c I have no ABS, so I have 6 lines, but the SiR one has 4. That leaves me 2 extra lines....no good at all. So now.... I want to investigate the possibility of an adjustable prop valve like a Tilton or Wilwood unit. Any experinece with any of this for all you auto-X and road racers? I would have no idea even how to plumb this thing, since apparently my stock system has the wheels controlled individually, rather than having front/back only. Or I could use the SiR one, and plumb my lines into a Y fitting that would just have front/back control. Basically hoping that the pressure will equalize, which it should by the laws of physics.

From my understanding the way those adjustable ones work, is by splitting the pressure between the front and back. What you'll have to do for the back is T off the rear brake lines as oppose to having them individual... So.. you'll have to join them back together with a T fitting.. The end thats left over will be fed by the adjustable valve.

I'm somewhat doing the same thing for the race car, but our control is a little different and it's not adjustable, but the same concept.

I think some oldder hot rods have their rear brakes setup this way.

that's if you wanna be correct about it I guess

KS-R, thanks for your input. I think I may try the SiR one just with a Y fitting (T fittings are too inefficient - I don't want the pressure loss). I really don't see why they did the 6 lines on the prop valve, since it's not like the rear brakes receive different amounts of pressure, so they could have done one line to the back, and then split it at the back. But in Honda I trust, so I shall believe the way they did it is optimal.

Get the CTR one. It should bolt right on. It should cost about $120 or so.

Interesting proposal.... but I don't wanna end up with a $120 part that won't fit. You know? Trust me, I've been there before....someone says it fits, I buy it, it doesn't fit.... I'm **** out of luck and throw the part in my closet. I'll see if I can find a picture of one first, to ensure that all the lines are there and in the correct spots, and that it uses the same size fittings, and that it has the bolt pattern as well.

Yes!! That's what I like to hear....solid information!!!! So you have 6 lines...one per wheel, one from the M/C and one to the M/C, right? And two bolt holes. Any pics at all (I know, I'm asking for too much).

You are the **** mister!!!! Thank you, that's exactly what I needed. Did your local Honda dealer hook you up with this thing, or did you have to pay premium from some lame JDM site? Thanks again

No problem. I had to get it from one of the JDM sites. I believe A&J in Vancouver has them in stock.

Thank you... I'll get right on ordering that. Or maybe my bro can be of some use and send me one from the German CTR...he just has to walk over to a dealer and get it for me.

If he'll do it, it should be cheap. Otherwise, you can order a 99-00 Civic Si (DOHC) PV from a U.S. dealership.

SW20 MR2, I think you are correct...and only $70USD...so $140 to my door.... That's what I'm gonna do I think. You, sir, are a godsend. The parts manager had some cockamaime idea about a 92-93 integra one, but I looked at pics and it looked nothing like what I needed.
