AEM CAI, when you put in the bypass, cut it so that you can have a shortie, that way you have the chioce.

CAI in the summer, short ram in the winter..

hmmm..food for thought..

tho having the bypass so far forward, the risk might be higher of water actually making it to the bypass and plugging it....
that wouldn't be a good thing..

Well

I have the Ijen, shorty with extension, I have drivin through, huge rain storms and snow, even been stuck a few times with the cold air on still, and no problems. I stand by my Injen, but thats just me

I heard that CAI sucking in water is like a myth.
Has it ever happened to anyone? and not your friend's friend?
I heard that you have to really have your ride slammed and even then you have to go through a really big puddle.

I'm going to be riding just the AEM CAI seeing as I'm running at the stock ride hieght. Anyone thing I'm crazy?

It will only suck in H2O if the WHOLE filter is submerged and I don't think any of us here drive into 3ft. deep puddles.

AEM CAI all the way. Dont worry about it sucking water. Like Slvr-Bullet has said, you gotta get the ENTIRE filter submerged in water. Of course you can always get the bypass valve just for peace of mind. Btw, when you install it you have no choice but to cut the intake.

Ha ha, very funny.

The CAI for the sol is a two peice, mind you it looks like the AEM intern cut the pipe.

Don't know if the short part is long enough so that I can get a short ram out of it as well, it's really short.

we'll have to see, going to install it this week-end
