Tach Wiring

I bought a tach, and it didn't come with instructions. It has 4 wires, Red, White, Green, Black.

Im guessing red is power and black is ground, but what do green and white go to?

white controls on and off....and green plugs into the rpm reading which is under the hood on the driver side by the firewall....its a blue and silver wire i recall and is has a black rubber box at the end of it..u take the rubber box off hook the green wire into the other one and put the box back in....and there it works

Smile Tach Install

Its easier to just clip the tech wire (rpm signal) of the plug underneath the cluster. That way you don't have to run the wire all the way thorugh back to engine bay. For car don't have a stock tach, the wire harness is already there. Just Honda is too cheap to give tach for every trim they offer. I drive a DX, so the know the feeling. The tach wire is blue (at the plug) for all honda model as far as I know...
