Swapping a 5th gen Tranny n Motor into a 4th gen
Guys
i need to know if a 92-95 motor NON VTEC and tranny can be swapped into a 1990 honda civic hatch easily?
wat are the things needed?
THe car is manual so i am assuming i have to convert the whole cable to hydro thing.
So can someone tell me if it can be done easily or should i let the pro's do it? Like i really wanna tackle this job myself so i have a learning experience also i believe i have to do some obd bullshit too so any hel would be appreciated.

k so do i need to rewire everything or keep the old wiring?
also my car is a cx so it came wit no power seering but the motor i am lookin at is a stock 93 motor i believe so could that mean it will have the power steering and if it does is it hard to do the install or do i jus run the belt and it works?

keep the power steering off... if you want to add power steering you'll need to change the steering rack and other stuff... and I just think you have to wire for OBD1 since i think your car is OBD0 and that shouldn't be too hard to do....

Yes, you can use HASport new cable-hydro conversion kit. It's a real ghetto solution, and I'd rather keep a 4th gen tranny, but if you REALLY want a hydro tranny, check out HASport.

Clutch pedal assembly, reservoir, slave cylinder, hardlines.
Also should re-wire the VSS since the speedometer is cable on the 4th gen and Electro on the fifth gens.
That tranny is a dog anyway.
Get a CRX Si tranny, you will be much happier. Better ratios...
