Suspension Question

Okay folks, I'm going to ask for some help for the 1994 Acura Integra LS...

A family member wants to lower the whole car because the old stock shocks are gone. So they need both lowering springs and shocks to compliement that.

We need lowering springs and complimenting shocks/struts for the whole car.

Can you help assist me in some of the products which can do this?

Please name brands, or actual model numbers if you can.

yup tokico illuminas are good shocks, adjustable and i happen to have a set for sale (pm me if interested) that fits 94-01 integras

for shocks, common ones are KYB AGX, Tokico Illuminas and Koni Yellow (KYB are cheapest, Koni most expensive)

for springs, it really depends on how low you want to go. H&R sports, Eiback sportlines, Eibach pro-kit, Tien S-Tech, Tein H-tech, Neuspeed Race, Skunk2 coil-over springs...there are probably a hundred. what seperates them is the stiffeness of the spring and the amount they lower.

as long as you buy quality products, you'll be fine and they will last a long time and provide good performance.

it seems like you just want a simple basic drop.

look for some springs to lower it about 1.5" and get some tokico HP blues for shocks

Y ya ya sorry, simple drop is fine, looking at those Progress springs which go down 1.5".

KYB looks good.

Thanks guys, I'll go hunt down prices for my family member via TCC.

I'd get a decent set of coilovers. If your friend is picky, go this route. If he just wants a drop for a decent price, then grab some Springs and Shocks. I would recommend a decent used set of shocks like alwaysoverkill is selling.

Thanks guys, a simple one is what he wants. He also is picky about used stuff, so used is not an option.

Its funny using decent with the word cheap price

if he is after new, KYB AGX with a good spring is probably what he is after...new = $$$ expect $800 for just shocks/springs or $900+ for coil-overs

ask him how much he wants to lower, that will dictate what springs he'll be lookin for

Omni's are probably what your looking for. They offer adjustable ride height, and are extremely cheap for what they are!!! I've installed tons of these and havn't had any problems yet, except for some rusting over the winters. (nothing some lubricant cant fix)

Good luck with your search

For cosmetics coupled with street driveability, the Omnis are tough to beat. Like I said before, if you're picky about your car, then being able to dial your ride height to the exact millimeter is a huge plus.

Anyone know where to find stock, OE or OEM shocks/struts for a good price? Change of mind he had because no funds right now so will have to settle for stock, or other brands that are good for stock.

I believe AGX only has a warranty for anything under 1.5" drop. They should be fine for a race spring, though. Compare the AGX and Illumina pricing when making your decision. Both are similar shocks, but most people would advise that you use the Illuminas.
