Stainless Steel Brake Lines
Did some research before buying Stainless Steel brake lines. I have heard so many good things about SS lines and after reading a few articles including this one (and on Honda-Tech), I have totally changed my mind about this upgrade. I had the impression that they would last longer then OEM. Turns out that is incorrect, these are almost consider a wear and tear item that should be replaced every 2 years or so.

Anyway looks like I am sticking with OEM lines. Has anyone used aftermarket rubber lines with success? The OEM ones are pricey.

any aftermarket or performance part is bound to come with some issues which is why OEM doesn't use it.... whether it's cost, longevity, ease of install (during vehicle assembly), etc. that's why modifying cars isn't for mooks. it's for ppl who constantly check their parts and stay on top of it.
as for aftermarket replacement rubber lines, sure you can run them, expect a life of about 4-5 years on a set of aftermarket lines.
