Should I keep the existing front sway bar linkage?
Recently, I bought a pair of used SIR front LCA and when the guy was taking the pieces apart, the sway bar was connected on one LCA, but not the other. I don't have the right tool to take that linkage apart. It seems fine to me, still rotates good.
I wonder when the shop installs the LCA, can they install it with the bar attached at one end? Would it interfer the installation or does it have to be separated prior to installation? Does the linkage get broken when you take it off or can you reuse it? Seeing how the new linkage is around 60 bucks new at Honda I am trying to save money on the little parts if it is still reuseable.
Thanks

I see, I was sorta thinking along the same line. How do you secure the end that has 4 little dots? When I use the wrench to torque the nut, it rotates and I can't get it to stay in place?
Or maybe I will bring everything and let the shop worry about it since I don't have enough tools to raise the car and do the job myself. One of the reason to take them apart was to clean the minor surface rust and rust paint it. I kinda did on all LCA and the bar, just not around the linkage area.

WD40 it, then impact it. If this fails, try a torch and allen key with a pass through wrench. If THAT fails, get the grinder out.
Do you mean the SWAY BAR is still attached?? To get the sway bar in there you have to drop the exhaust, so I recommend getting new exhaust bolts while you're at it. They can snake the bar in there and then mount the lower control arm. I hope you also got the wider SiR forks along with a longer folk bolt. I know cuz I've been there.

I only have hand tools, nothing major or advanced like that. I do have WD40 LOL
I am still searching for a pair of SIR forks... I was | | close of getting a pair for 20 bucks and someone else got it before I did. Worse come to worse, I will call Brett....

oh, I didn't see your ? before, musta posted at the same time. the endlinks have holes on the same side as the nut... see. that's where the allen key goes, just like the top of your shocks. Same idea! I think it's like a 5mm or something. that's how you stop it from spinning.
