Which set up would be quicker off the line?
Ok, maybe it sounds like a stupid question, but in a 1996 civic ek hatchback, which motor would be faster to hit 100km/hr off the line and if you know how many seconds it might take: a b18c1 from a 2001 gsr motor/tranny or a b16a2 sir motor/tranny from a 2000 honda civic sir?

gsr will own off the line b/c of the torque, its uncomparable to what little torque the b16 puts out.....assuming both drivers have the same skill.
Otherwise, like chris said, it will be a drivers race.

would a 4-1 header benefit me more with the gsr motor or would a 4-2-1 be better... since it has more mid-range torque than the sir, i was thinking a 4-1 would be better to boost up mid-range
also, what would be faster... an actual civic sir or an integra gsr off the line... i assume the sir because its lighter?

Actually the GSR is still faster from what I can remember... but its very marginal to say the least. For headers I prefer 4-2-1 but really depending on the brand some 4-1 headers are better then some 4-2-1 headers. Read the sticky that's about "Everything you need to know about B-Series Engines. There is a section in that link that compares headers
