RE: ITR rear sway bar with beaks kit

"I think this serves as a testimony to the strength of the civic subframe. It's not meant to handle a bar that's 22mm thick. Even with an SRK, there is a chance of tearing it."
Even if the chance of breakage is thin, I still don't see the reason of tempting fate in putting on the sway bar.

Let's be fair to the Civic... it's a car for 127 hp max in US trim... it's an economy car. The car takes to modification VERY well. This is ONE instance of breakage of a car that the owner admits to abusing for 2 years. Tman, I still got that GSR rear sway... $40 and it's yours

I have the exactly same setup as the Jackson in Honda-tech. Running ITR LCA with Tein HA(changed to stiffer spring rate) for ITR, using ITR rear sway with Beaks kit, no rear tie bar tho. This setup has been on my car for a bit over a year, I would say the rear sway bar is a great investment for suspension and my subframe is still in very good condition, no sign of tear or anything. I check my subframe and the Beaks plate everytime I wash my car.
BTW, my car is a EG hatch, daily driven car.

I've been running the GSR rear swaybar all this year... even it made a significant difference out on the autox course.
Before I even put the bar on I spent a lot of time reading up on installing GSR and ITR rear swaybars on our cars. The Beaks kit does its job well. The fact that there haven't been many others that have reported problems as this guy had would say to me that the setup is quite solid. I think the best way to know for sure though is to talk to people who use the setup in racing environments where the car is pushed to its limits all the time.
