Quick Quick Help!!!

Is there any truth to this statement I heard from someone.
"If you dont buy good pads, such as premium pads, once its finished, you will have to change your rotors."
To me this didnt make any sense to me. Am I missing something?
Reason is because I just bought rotors and drums and I got economy pads and shoes.
So the guy is saying once and if these pads suck and run out, I cant go out and buy something like Hawk Pads and expect it to work with the rotors that were run with the economy pads.
Any truth to that?

****ty pads and shoes will wear faster and unevenly therefore causing the rotor and drum to screw up. so putting new pads will actually make it worse and you will be forced to change pads and rotors and drums and shoes faster because of uneven surface grip.
