Question...

I was wondering if anyone has had problems with their rim/tire setup that lead to bending/warping of their wheels. I currently am running 205/40's on a 16" Rota Slipstream (Acura 1.6EL), and with the condition of many of the roads and highways around the GTA (401 & Gardiner being the worst), i was wondering whether or not this should be a major concern.

Any input/response is appreciated.

I would be careful, some of the potholes and so called repairs on many streets are really crappy. I personally haven't had any problems, then again I ride on the stock 15 inch rims with 205/50/15 tires. If you do get any damage, be sure and report it to the local municipality as they are responsible and you can get reimbursed for your damages.

P.S. nice to see another EL owner on the board.

Thanks for the input. I am extremely careful when I 'm driving on the pothole highways around Toronto. Most of the major side streets are not that bad, and out here in the west end, things are pretty well maintained. I tend to be paraniod when it comes to my car. I pour a lot of my hard earned dollars into it, and the last thing I need is for some stupid pothole to ruin what I've built.

yeah you should be fine as long as you are careful with the potholes. but just make sure you get wheel locks. maybe even two per wheel but not more than that cuz i hear that they dont hold as well as regular lugs.
